Below are the results of the 3 elections that I’ve contested since 2017.

2022
In the 2022 Somerset County/Unitary Council election, the Bishop’s Hull and Taunton West division saw the reelection of Independent candidate John Hunt, who topped poll securing 1,835 votes. The candidate finishing second was also elected. Somerset Council officially became a unitary authority on April 1st 2023. This transition replaced the previous two-tier system, merging the services and powers of the former Somerset County Council along with four district councils (Mendip, Sedgemoor, Somerset West and Taunton, and South Somerset) into a single, combined Somerset Council authority.
