To show their appreciation to the village for supporting them over the years, as owners of Bishop’s Hull Stores, Butchers and Post Office, Linda and Tim Pope held a Hog Roast Luncheon for the residents of Bishop’s Hull in the Church Hall.
In excess of 200 people turned up to wish the couple well in their retirement, and to thank them for all they had done for the Village over the years.
Ownership of the village stores and butchers has moved from the Popes who are retiring, to new owners Tom and Tane Parker.
On behalf of the residents of the village, Bishop’s Hull Parish Council presented the Popes with a garden bench. As you’ll note from the presentation the photo, Linda and Tim received an image of the bench, as clearly the real thing would have been rather heavy.
