It was a huge honour to be asked by the Trustees to officially open our new community facility, the Bishops Hull Hub. My opening day speech is above.
In excess of 300 people came along to celebrate the official opening of our new community facility.
A Hog Roast, was generously donated by Tom Parker from the Bishops Hull Stores, Post Office and Butchers, and served following the opening ceremony.
The Hub Cafe served complimentary Teas, Coffees and freshly made scones with jam and cream, kindly donated by the Meryan House Hotel
Representatives from the various groups and classes hiring the hall also attended to answer any questions. There is so much to choose from including: Short Mat Bowls, Yoga, Zumba, Dance, Gardening, Baby & Toddler, Community Art, Martial Arts, Bridge, U3a, the Woman’s Institute and so much more. There really is something for everyone.
For those that don’t know, the new Hub is on the village playing field and can be accessed via Bishop’s Hull Hill, next to the school.

Here are a few of the many photos taken on the day. I’d like to thank Photographer Clayton Jane for allowing me to use some of his images shown below:
